Chris and Bill, working as a husband and wife team since Chris joined the company in 1998, combine Bill’s vast construction knowledge and Chris’ administrative background to provide their clients with a professional remodeling experience. When they’re not working with clients, Bill and Chris enjoy spending time in the outdoors, hiking and hunting and enjoying nature.
Bill started his business in 1990, handling all of the carpentry work himself. Having been in the construction and remodeling industry since 1976 he has the hands-on experience to know whether something can be done and how to do it. This makes him valuable to clients as their first contact as he can advise them whether a project they have in mind can be accomplished for a reasonable price. As the company grew, Bill added carpenters and eventually a production manager to handle the production side of the business allowing him to concentrate on sales and proposals.
Chris does all of the office work, from initial client contact to putting together the specifications and marketing the company. Chris is in the office most of the time to answer any questions or concerns by clients. Chris enjoys getting to meet clients when she takes before photos and then loves seeing the completed project when she takes the after photos. She has been working for Keilty Remodeling full time since 1997. Chris earned her Certified Remodeler designation in 2010. She has served several terms on the NARI of Idaho board and as president. He has served on the Certification Board of NARI National to further promote education and the professionalism of the remodeling industry. She has worked with NARI national on updating the certified remodeler study guide and served as a judge for Regional and National COTY awards.
Our production manager, Mike Cook, handles all aspects of the construction process. Once a job has been awarded, it is handed over to Mike. From this point until the final punch list, he is the main client contact and works with the clients, subcontractors and construction staff to make sure the project runs as smoothly as possible. Chris works with him to keep communication open and both are always available to answer client questions and concerns.
Our production staff consists of carpenters who have worked in all areas of construction. It is just as important that they have a good background in framing as in finish carpentry as they are required to do both and anything in-between. They are tested and screened to make sure they have a good working knowledge of all areas of construction. It is also important that they have good communication skills and good social skills as they are working in client’s homes and will have direct contact with the clients, their children and pets.
